Behavior Management

All ages

Behavior management services are individually-driven to increase the independence of each client. Our focus is to decrease maladaptive (negative) behaviors and increase positive behaviors.

A Behavioral Support Plan
for every client

For each client we create a Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) and serves as a guide for staff, family and any other signficant person in a client’s life.

The BSP reflects who a client is as an individual as well as areas of need including suggested positive interventions which offer the least restrictive techniques first to encourage growth and new skill development.

One-on-one Sessions

Our consultants employ a mix of proactive strategies training during direct face-to-face sessions with clients, enforcing natural consequences for maladaptive behaviors, staff training, and data analysis to provide scientific-based behavior modification support and interventions.

Consistent care

We work as a team to keep each other updated on each client’s needs. If your primary consultant is not available (i.e. vacation), we will find another consultant to assist you. Kelly Howard is a qualified behavior consultant, and is available for all our clients should the need arise.

Small Group Skill Lab

BST offers regularly-scheduled social gatherings, clubs, and events that provide opportunities to address various skill areas outside of regular one-on-one sessions. Our skills labs not only provide opportunities to enhance individualized goals and objectives, they also give clients the chance to socialize, make connections, and form friendships with one another in a safe and supportive environment.

Multiple Environments

Your behavior consultant will want to see you at home, at the workshop, in the community and in our South Bend office.
